If you believe in the man-made global warming nonsense then you have to deal with air conditioning and heating which require lots of energy.

I lived in an Austin apartment and heard clunking upstairs one night around 1 a.m. It was a single woman who was moving into the apartment above me. Nice looking. Kept all the windows open. Didn’t believe in air conditioning. She brought weights and a Bowflex.
There was nobody helping her move in all her stuff so I volunteered to do it. I figured I could fall asleep by 3 a.m. if I helped out rather than listening to her clunk around by herself until 5 a.m.
It was a smart choice but it was obvious early on that she had bought into all the health/environment crap and I’d never impress her with my beer gut and sedentary lifestyle choices.
She didn’t last long. Can’t see any sane person living through Texas summers with no AC.
