I don’t believe the girls were sex slaves or forced to do anything they were not paid well for.
As a Christian I have moral problems with this.
From a legal viewpoint I don’t, these girls knew what going on, they were paid, they had good times on a private island, and never said a peep about it. They were private escorts.

I agree, mostly. But one of the reasons I imagine for statutory rape charges is that young people don’t have the mental capacity to understand the long term effects of their decisions. It is easy for them to be lured into sex with the offer of free beer and a joint. Just imagine the lure of going on private planes with famous people to a fancy island with champagne and cocaine.

13-year-olds cannot consent, for any reason, when it comes to these matters. But then if you think that they willingly stepped into such matters with enthusiastic consent, you need to open your eyes and go research what Grooming is and how insidious it is. There are a plethora of reasons why trafficking is such a nasty business and why so many are never found.
