LOL
Now who’s inept? and who is about to lose their job over their ineptness? The ambassador is right the new British Government can make changes... such as who is the ambassador.

(Sounds like a great opportunity for Trump to stick it to the elite UK establishment.)

He can continue to learn about America from Rachel Maddow and Trevor Noah, like all his leftist compatriots. No room at the White House for you Sir Stunningly Brave.

Trump is a counter puncher. He knows corrupt people will ultimately show their true colors so he was all nice and friendly with Theresa May (as he’s been with Macron and others) but he doesn’t trust them.. If Trump had been critical of May from the outset he would have gotten a lot of flack. Instead, he gives people like May, Macron, etc. enough rope to hang themselves. The thing is, Trump is still in office and Theresa May is on her way out. Funny how that works.

How much did he deal with him before? Ambassadors work through the State Department.

Can’t blame him. I would refuse to deal with the man also were I in Trump’s place. Obviously, is fatally compromised and can no longer do his job. Its up to the UK if they want to keep a guy in the role who has no influence and cannot even begin to accomplish the business the UK needs from its ambassadors.

The US should have declared the jerk persona non grata and sent him on his way.

well.......while I personally wouldn’t have added that little dig about the British ambassador not being liked....
this is one of the things the American public loves about PDJT....that when someone throws some slop at him.. he tosses it back.
The UK will have no difficulty finding a much better, more tactful ambassador, and they must plug up their leak, too....

The brits might as well put this guy on a plane and send him back, he’s done here.

These leaks came from a year or two ago and most of the stuff he was spouting in the cables was just standard CNN news feed. It doesn’t matter, President Trump isn’t exactly known for embracing people that criticize him. I can’t blame him, no human in history has has as much slander and outright BS written about him. If he didn’t fight back the news media would have long since broken him. What the brits, and the big city leftist in this country, don’t realize is that Trump has almost unanimous support outside of the coastal areas. He’s supported by a lot more Americans than they think since they only interact with the bubbles of Washington D.C. and New York.

The brits can make the argument that the cables were supposed to be secret and that’s true. I suggest they do a better job keeping them secret next time. This goat can’t be unscrewed and Trump’s said he’s done. Britain has the right to pick their ambassador but that doesn’t mean that the president has to talk to him. An ambassador no one in the administration will talk to isn’t going to be very useful.

Declare him persona non grata (sp?) and give him 48 hours to leave if the British government won’t remove him. How can even Teresa May be so hard headed over this???

The Brits need to be called out big-time over their denial of free speech to critics of Islam and LGBT.

he should have been pulled when the message was first received in the UK.

then, he should have been pulled when the message was first publicly revealed.

Now, the fact that he is still in office seems to be an indication of the amount of disdain that the UK government still has for trump.

that imho seems regrettable considering that the USA will be the UK’s most important trading partner once Brexit happens...

Good to see President Donald Trump dropping subtle hints to the Brits that they need to recall their ambassador.
