Senior Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) official Saeb Erekat on Friday set conditions for the Palestinian Authority (PA) renewing its ties with the United States, saying these ties can be resumed on condition that Washington commits itself to the peace process.
"If the current US government wants to resume political contacts with the Palestinian leadership, it should announce that East Jerusalem is occupied and terminate the decision of annexing the city to Israel," said Erekat, secretary general of the PLO Executive Committee, in a statement quoted by the Xinhua news agency.
He also asked the United States to declare the two-state solution along the pre-1967 borders as the goal of the peace process and resolve all final status issues according to the international resolutions.
"These are not Palestinian conditions, but references that had been agreed upon over the past 20 years with the former US governments and the whole world," said Erekatsaid Erekat.
The PA has been boycotting the US ever since Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital in December of 2017 and his relocation of the US embassy to Jerusalem.
It also refused to attend the US-led peace workshop in Bahrain last week, in which the US administration presented the economic portion of its peace plan for Israel and the Palestinian Arabs.

PLO is setting conditions. And I am demanding WalMart give me a Maserati before I will buy anything at their store again.
I bought my first Maserati at WalMart. It didn’t last a week.
Why should we renew ties with them? Don’t we have enough drones with Hellfire missiles? I don’t think they know how to negotiate. They need to look at the best and worst alternatives to a negotiated solution. The worst for them is eating a missile warfare for a late night snack.
So the Palestinian authority has been boycotting us? I must have missed something. In what form is this boycott? Did they cut us off from foreign aid? Have they stopped food shipments to the United States are we no longer getting medical supplies. What’s going on here?

What peace process? No offer EVER made to the PLO in any way involves “peace”, it all boils down to the Israelis giving up their claim to the narrow strip of land in what was once known as “Palestine” and physically departing altogether from the region.
Ain’t gonna happen, GI. The Muslims only hold the Temple Mount in Jerusalem because they are squatters that moved in as bloodthirsty bandits and kicked everybody else out. Their only claim on the land is by conquest, and when directly confronted, they cannot hold it.
Most of the “Palestinians” are the descendants of refugees from Syria, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Jordan, which themselves were poorly organized as nations, who had kicked out those ancestors several generations back because they such troublemakers in their own right, even other Muslims could not tolerate them.
The “Palestinians” should be repatriated to the land of their ancestors, the Gaza Strip and the West Bank annexed to Israeli control, and both the Dome on the Rock and the nearby Al-Aqsa Mosque be restored to Israeli sovereignty.
