I’m with Dennis Prager on this one. There is no way I could root for that team given the Anti-Americanism displayed. In addition the rest of the team is being cowed by her as Leftists often succeeds in doing. If the rest of the team truly shares her sentiments then even more reasons to not root for them. Really unfortunate.

Agree with you but unfortunately I think the US is favored to win.
Hope there is not a repeat of the final women’s world cup some years back. After winning the cup the women on the winning team (can’t recall the country) broke out cigars and began to smoke them on the pitch.
Let them win, and then we’ll see if they make their way to the White House.
If they don’t, they should in the future be playing to empty stadiums.
I think it’s rudeness and rank stupidity more than anything. When Rapinoe — or any other athlete — looks back on their short career and realizes that they could have visited the White House with their teammates, many of whom they’ll never play with again, they’re going to regret it. Nobody is saying you have to agreen with the president, but you do need to respect the office. Life’s too short.
