I keep seeing this word “woke”...WTH does that mean anyway???
Is it used instead of “awake, awakened, waking up”????
It doesn’t make any sense the way I’ve seen it used....
The word “woke” is used to mean that someone has become “enlightened”—that is, they are now very PC, liberal, and condescending. According to Urban Dictionary, “Woke” is “The act of being very pretentious about how much you care about a social issue.”
There is a related slang phrase, “Get woke, go broke.” This refers to businesses that decide to advocate the PC culture and lose business as a result. An example would be the recent decision of Gillette to pander to the gender-confused movement and losing sales as a result.
“Woke” is an intentionally use of non-standard grammar (because grammar rules are imposed by the white power structure to exclude “out groups”). Woke people have been exposed to leftist propaganda and indoctrination, and have accepted uncritically the fruits of Marxist Critical Theory and “Cultural Marxism”. Without indoctrination, they would have been asleep to all the horrors, and maybe even feel some sense of responsibility for their own lives. In this construct, white American males use a patriarchal power structure to victimize and exploit the rest of the world, “stealing” the productive efforts of others, while deliberately keeping them down through discrimination. Women and minorities are actually much smarter and contribute more. America is an imperialist exercise that has amassed capital by exploiting workers and the third world. Slavery provided the capital and talent for “first world” industrial development. US military hegemonism and US controlled monetary institutions keep the world in thrall to our advantage.
The purpose of “wokeness” is to motivate believers to political action by making them feel intense outrage at their own victimization, despite a lack of contemporary evidence. Thus the emphasis on lynching in the 1920’s or busing in the 1960’s. Thus the rash of hoax incidents of nooses, racist graffiti, false sexual assault reports, etc. The “woke” ones believe an epidemic of such things are happening right NOW, therefore to “make a difference” they must create an illustrative event.
Woke honkies hate America, capitalism, heterosexual men, whites, and themselves. Woke non-whites hate woke honkies and everyone else. It’s all a tactic to take by politics and force whatever you have worked for.
It's a term Social Justice Warriors use to congratulate themselves, i.e. everyone else is ignorant about the world, they and they alone are wide awake to what's going on and what needs to be done. Typical of self-deluded narcissists.
