China, being a major partner with it’s mfgrs is heavily subsidizing them and even though the tariffs are paid by the importer the exporter will be able to sell at a much lower price and thereby remain competive dispite the tariffs.
The rest of any unreasonable increases are being absorbed by the importer and the wholesaler.
I know. We need a higher tariff.
