The Portland police chief argued in favor of implementing an anti-mask law on Wednesday to curb the violent brawls that most recently resulted in a conservative journalist being hospitalized over the weekend.
“We cannot allow people to continue to use the guise of free speech to commit a crime,’’ Police Chief Danielle Outlaw said, according to The Oregonian. “A lot of people are emboldened because they know they can’t be identified.’’
There are currently 15 states that have laws that have banned masks of some sort. Those against the ban argue that it infringes First Amendment rights.

Just arrest the violent troublemakers. Once in police custody, you can take their mask off.
I thought some type of anti-mask laws already were om the books. But I’m not sure. Seemsthat anyone wearing one, unless it’s Halloween, is up to no good. Like hoodies.

The mask is part of the problem, as it is much more difficult identifying the troublemakers.

There is no doubt these terrorists’ ability to wear a disguise emboldens their mob mentality. It also wouldn’t surprise me if a lot of them are intentionally hyped up on drugs (besides the assumed weed) like ISIS terrorists.

Yes, just round them all up. How hard can that be? Whatever happened to common sense? Wanna-be ninja warriors taking over the streets with deadly weapons — why is there any hesitation to round them all up?

A post yesterday indicated most of the no-mask laws are in the south. I’m not sure if that is true.
