It's official. Democratic Party Chair Tom Perez confirms the Party fully endorses free health care for illegal immigrants. That puts illegals ahead of veterans struggling to qualify for civilian care, middle-class working stiffs priced out of Obamacare, and baby boomers facing the likelihood of Medicare cuts.
At last Thursday's Democratic presidential debate, all 10 candidates on the stage flung up their hands when asked whether they'd cover illegal aliens.
Not one of the debate moderators went on to ask the obvious: How much will it cost, and who will pay for it? Why spoil a Kumbaya moment?
The costs would be huge. According to Pew Foundation researchers, there were 10.5 million illegals in the nation in 2017. In 2018, Yale University and MIT demographers estimated there are double.
If the entire illegal population was enrolled in Medicaid, the tab would range from a whopping $84 billion a year (10.5 million multiplied by $8,015, the Medicaid cost per person) to more than double that, $176 billion. But that estimate needs to be pared to reflect the millions of illegals who work and already get insurance through an employer. Covering uninsured illegals is likely to cost $40 billion to $80 billion a year.
That cost could explode if Democrats push through their open-borders agenda. The frontrunners on the stage Thursday night — Joe Biden, Kamala Harris and Bernie Sanders — said they would stop prosecuting and deporting illegals except those guilty of committing serious crimes. In the Democrats' view, sneaking into the country should be a civil violation, like getting a parking ticket. With no border enforcement, the number of illegals is likely to soar, pushing up the cost of their health care. So consider $40 billion to $80 billion a lowball cost estimate.
None of the candidates gushing about health care for illegals as a human right showed the same ardor for veterans' health care. For years, the VA has been embroiled in scandals over vets dying waiting for medical care. Still, Congress is nickel-and-diming the money it spends to allow vets to see civilian doctors and get other civilian medical services. The total in the proposed 2020 budget is $8.9 billion, less than half what advocacy groups claim is needed to relieve the deadly backlog at VA hospitals.
But Democrats are willing to spend at least four times that much on health insurance for illegals. What kind of priority is that?
Worse, Congress is appropriating a paltry $1.8 billion to help homeless vets. Of course, politicians find these comparisons inconvenient. The Democratic candidates would like you to believe no one has to go without in order to fund health care for illegals.
But the ugly reality became obvious in California this month when the Democratic-dominated state legislature voted to fund health coverage for illegals up to age 25. How to pay for it? Democratic lawmakers are slapping a hefty tax — up to $3,252 — on people who go without health insurance, even if they're uninsured because they can't afford it. The result is a single working guy who earns $80,000 a year (which doesn't go far in Los Angeles), is ineligible for an Obamacare subsidy and will now be forced to pay a whopping fine toward insuring illegals, while he goes without coverage himself.
The real health insurance crisis in this country isn't about illegals. It's about the middle class. The Affordable Care Act added millions of mostly poor people to the insurance rolls. But the same law is driving premiums so high that middle-class people are priced out. They're ineligible for government subsidies if they earn over $48,560 as individuals or $65,840 as a couple. Roughly 5 million people are going without coverage, according to the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities.
Dems eyeing the White House never mention the plight of uninsured middle-class families. The message is clear: Illegal lives matter, but vets' lives and middle-class lives not so much.
Baby boomers also beware. In 2010, Democratic lawmakers took over $700 billion from future Medicare funding to pay for Obamacare. They robbed Grandma to fund their health care scheme, and they'll do it again.
They've been trying to squeeze out the middle class for years.
1.) Every Democrat running for president has said they support health care for illegal immigrants. Every one.
2.) Almost every Democrat supports decriminalizing illegal immigration.
3.) They are against deporting illegal immigrants.
No deportation, plus decriminalizing illegal immigration, equals unending numbers coming here: 100 million or more.
4,) Add to that Dems wanting to give health care to them all means that taxes on everyone will be raised and Dems will have to cut Social Security and Medicare.
No other way.

Ramming 0bamacare down our throats, exempting the Congress, their staff, and the unions, and a Republican-controlled Congress failing to give us a clean repeal as promised multiple times, has gone a long way toward that goal of eliminating the middle class.
Imagine the doctor shortages when MILLIONS of new patients are factored in.
But next year when I turn 65 I’m suppose to buy insurance to cover what medicare doesn’t cover. Sheesh.

Hey AOC- how about you visit LA- walk down the feces littered streets, through the drug needle riddled gutters- and do you little crying and faux outrage act there, huh? Then maybe- just maybe- you’ll have a scintilla of credibility!
It’s also not really insurance, is it? Isn’t what they have in mind something more akin to a Euro style “National Health Service?”
We need The List for Comprehensive Immigration Enforcement left out since 1987!
The list goes like this -
1) southern barrier;
2) require eVerify to hire;
3) end all chain migration;
4) birthright per Minor v. Happersett (plural parents);
5) end work visas;
6) 10-year moratorium on all new applications for citizenship (40 years to allow workplace automation effects on downsizing population)
7) demonstrate English proficiency to acquire citizenship and pass civics test.
Enactment of these provisions will motivate illegal aliens to SELF-deport.
Also consider reciprocation of the laws of the countries of origin of the illegal aliens. For example, Mexico doesn’t allow land ownership or voting to immigrants, and doesn’t honor birthright citizenship like its citizens expect from the U.S. We should offer the same deal to them.
Giving them free care would make them all show up to be counted.
A rather expensive way to run a census.
You realize that you have to buy Medicare, too? The rate ranges from roughly $150 to $460, depending on your income in the prior year. The supplemental costs about $125 per month. And a pharmacy plan costs about $30 to $40.
Or, you can buy Medicare Advantage.

Ten years ago in a discussion with Robert Reich about how the "Stimulus" money was to be spent, Charlie Rangel (RAT NY-13) famously said
"And one thing you can depend on, you don’t have to be worried about what the middle-class is gonna do. Things are so bad. They have to put food on their tables. Clothes for their kids. Get them in school. I think this is a tremendous opportunity for a stronger America."
So, Mr. and Mrs. Middle Class America, just keep going the same way you've been and these rat-bastards in DC will continue to dump on you. Refuse to fight back (and I'm NOT talking about the ballot box) and you WILL be extinguished.

They always say it’s 10 million illegals. 20 years ago they were saying it was 10 million illegals and some people estimated that it was really 30 million illegals. There are many more illegals now...perhaps it has now grown as high as 60 million illegals. One thing I know is that it is not 10 million.
