My suspicion is that they are not releasing because they lose leverage after they do.

Could be.

But just "having leverage" does no good. You have to "use the leverage". We all hope that they are using their leverage to dig ever deeper, but we've been draining the swamp for almost 3 years now and no one has been indicted for anything. It's a poor drainage job so far.

You could release it incrementally and probably increase your leverage.
