Yep!!!

In 1962, Hubbert predicted that world oil production would peak at a rate of 12.5 billion barrels per year, around the year 2000. In 1974, Hubbert predicted that peak oil would occur in 1995.

That doesn't stop the "peak oil" freaks from continuing to 'predict, using computer models' another peak oil disaster.

Does this science prediction sound familiar?

Not by a long shot...

Large areas of California are not producing (that can).

Alaska also has large areas not producing oil (or open to exploration).

Both the Atlantic side of Florida and the Gulf side are not producing oil (or open to exploration).

In a time of National Emergency, I imagine the US might be able to ramp up production to 15 to 20 million barrels of oil... In World War II, the US outproduced Germany and Japan. The industrial might of the US plus the energy production spelled dome for Japan and Germany...
