I have two bus routes that stop near my house. With transfers, I can get pretty much anywhere.

Most cities have figured out the solution... cover the windows of the bus so citizens can't see a bus designed for 60 people driving around with two passengers.

At least now CA knows what the 6 cent gas increase was all about. The other states as well.
They have not repaired roads... why would you believe them this time? How many other states? It’s never about making your drive easier, it’s about contolling you.

I cant imagine wanting to abandon public transportation. It has the finest people...

Yup. The wife rides the light rail every day at about 5 pm from downtown St Paul to Minneapolis. People constantly smoking weed. Bums passed out on the seats. Smells like schlitt all the time. Good times.

Freeways take a long time and are expensive to build, but bus routes can be added relatively cheaply and quickly.

The author totally misses the point that you nail on the head. I’ll wager Laura never rides public transport.

If you don’t mind the mentally ill, dirt and smell of feces then take the bus in LA.

LA is very large geographically. Not much to walk to unless you have a commercial district nearby.

BH is surrounded by the I-10, the 101, and I-405 and has several major streets like La Cienega and Whilshire

At least 99% of the trips I make to "the big city" (usually for health care) are on public transit. Yes, impossible to drive downtown and park - if you find a space to park it is very expensive and your car can be broken into. My solution for most trips was to switch to doctors and medical facilities outside the big city. My wife still needs specialized care only available in the city, so were careful. Bring a knife, sanitizing wipes and spray, face masks, gloves, and wash your clothes immediately when you get home.

I suppose that ‘LA’, ‘bus riders’ and ‘hemorraghing’ is a natural combination of terms.
