true... and I do think we underestimate Antifa and the left’s capacity for violence. however, far more of us are trained in combat arms and have seen actual combat. It’s all fun and games until someone 50 meters away is trying to kill you. They’ve never experienced that. Without a lot of training, most people skedaddle.

No argument from me, but difficult to see how this behavior will not end tragically for some. Assaulting someone with a crowbar is aggravated assault. Beating someone up and stealing their camera is strong armed robbery. The video clearly shows behavior that can be deemed rioting, another felony.
In a sane world, the governor would say enough is enough and send in the state police. However, the elected politicians in Oregon support Antifa - they have been quite clear about it. They do not support the police or enforcement of laws.
The voters have spoken.
It certainly ended tragically for two individuals in Charlottesville. A young woman playing stupid games lost her life and a young man playing stupid games will die in prison because of it.
The police have been ordered not to interfere with antifa.
And we would be wise to take appropriate steps.
