In July 2016, it produced a regional plan called “Climate Action 2020 and Beyond,” which called for greenhouse gas emissions reductions of 25% below 1990 levels by 2020 and an 80% reduction by 2050.
The problem is 2020 is just six months away, and none of the cities in Sonoma County are anywhere close to reaching this goal.

Oh, my. I spent much of my childhood there, and I do not recall ever seeing residents of Sebastopol referred to in this way. This is more proof that the formerly great state of California has gone crazy. Or maybe the proof is in the content of this article. Whenever “going green” involves lowering one’s standard of living, I am highly suspicious, because I know it is not about the environment. It is about control.

Sonoma County west of 101 has been hippy dippy liberal for decades.
The pot heads and artsy fartsy liberals from San Francisco descended on that area to the Ocean and North to Seattle.
They hate America, Christians, practicing Jews, legitimate businesses and our military.
We are now into second and third generations of these artsy/fartsy hippies.
Sebastopol/Russian River area is the gateway to this Vegan Hippie world.
Easy solution....deport all who have come to the USA except thru legal immigration....50,000,000 out of the USA, sent home....and your environmental goals more than met.
Also housing costs would become much more affordable, more jobs, better pay, less crime, less stress on local schools and hospitals, etc.

Not purging the USA and doing more recycling, etc is comparatively useless.
This planet Earth has been in existence for over four billion years. During that time, there have been many forces that have acted upon it including earthquakes, asteroids, floods, volcanos, sun bursts, and droughts just to mention a few. Over the years, continents have broken apart, some land areas have gone under water, and some land areas have emerged. None of this has been caused by humans. I happen to be a Christian so I believe that God made this Earth and God continues to mold it as He sees fit. Humans cannot control these things mentioned above. Humans can cause pollution, temporary flooding, and the sort but humans cannot control the Sun. Liberals live to control us and make our lives miserable under the name of climate change. Will this stupid action ever cease, nope!
Manmade is 5% of CO2 concentration and total CO2 in the atmosphere is around 0.04%.
For those Democrats and other math challenged citizens the manmade part of the atmosphere is
0.04 X 0.05= so neglibile that only idiots like Obama, Gore, and climate "scientists" could think it makes any difference to anything.
Perhaps “Gulliver’s Travels” is the user’s life blueprint?
I’m not going to read the article, but if someone would just tell me a few things I should stop doing to reduce my carbon footprint.
