Oops! I didn’t notice it said 50 ft. I think you meant 30 ft Bollards with NO solid part at the top so they can’t shimmy all the way up and over. Is that what you meant? Because that is what I was thinking. I don’t see any solid panels at the top like I have seen on others.

In the first small pic at the beginning, the orange/brown trapezoidal think looked like a ramp to me...until I figured out it is the completed section of wall receding into the distance. It looks triangular because of the perspective and vanishing point. It really isn’t a ramp.

But I’m sure the Dems want to build such an easy on-ramp for them.

“I don’t see any solid panels at the top like I have seen on others.”

Those are called Anti-climb plates, and they are commonly on the top of bollards. They are a real obstacle to free climbers (those using just their hands and feet; without equipment, like ropes or ladders).

There have been many allusions made to hidden anti-climb features in the Calexico segment, including by the President himself. This article refers to unspecified “technology improvements” to be part of the construction.

The Calexico area led the Nation in attacks on Border Patrol officers (mainly young men resisting arrest). That area had a special officer safety requirement, due to that high violence. Once the new 30 foot bollards went in on the West side of town (where an Outlet Mall was right up to the border fence), that area’s activity dropped to whisper.

Along with whatever secret sauce technology they have included, they have also included wider clear observation areas, bright lighting at night, excellent high speed patrol road, complete coverage by day/night cameras, as well as additional sensors/alarm systems.

They call the whole package “Wall System”.
