I don't believe that 'gay' people are born, in general. I think it's usually the result of some kind of emotional impact/experience in their formative years. So a parent should ask, 'what went wrong?' - not necessarily 'Where did I go wrong?'.

I've known several gay men, for instance, who had cruel, distant fathers. Others have been abused by someone in their circle.

Causes of female sexuality seem to be different and more varied.

A Captain Obvious moment to me. I have 5 children and fortunately, none of them are gay, BUT of course, virtually all parents would (though many would not be happy campers)but flesh and blood, yo....blood is thicker than water.
