Elizabeth Warren to Upstage Debate Rivals with Visit to Migrant Shelter

Sen. Elizabeth Warren is one-upping her Democratic rivals by promising to make a pre-debate, TV-magnified visit to a nearby center that shelters foreign youths before they are handed over to U.S.-based “sponsors.”

“We have to shut down that facility and shut it down now,” Warren told supporters, according to a tweet by a Washington Post reporter. The crowd enthusiastically chanted, “Shut it down!”

Warren’s gambit highlights the growing number of progressives who emotionally oppose the federal agencies’ efforts to identify — although not actually stop — the huge wave of Central American migrants and their children who are walking into Americans’ blue-collar workplaces, schools, and neighborhoods.

Amid the emotion, and its use by Democratic politicians, only about ten percent of adult migrants are being blocked at the border. The vast majority are quickly being released precisely because they bring young children on the dangerous journey solely to trigger the catch-and-release laws that are supported by Democrats.

Also, another huge wave of more than 56,000 children and teenagers — who claim to be unaccompanied — have surrendered to border officials since October. Roughly 2,500 of those teenagers are being temporarily sheltered at the center in Homestead, Florida, run by the Department of Health and Human Services.

Warren’s TV-ready visit to Homestead will happen the day of the first of two Democratic debates in Miami, Florida. The Homestead center is just 30 miles down the road.

Warren’s promised visit — which will likely be accompanied by a cheering crowd of pro-migration activists — is part of an escalating race by Democrats to out-do each other in promising to open the borders to poor migrants.

Warren grandstands for the TV cameras and the media say how wonderful she is.

She comes across as just another media attention whore. She intends to strut onto the debate stage clothed in purity just on the strength of her outbursts.

Translation: “We have to shut down the detention centers, because if we don’t almost all of these people will eventually be denied asylum and deported.”

The dems know that this will occur, so they pretend to be concerned “about the children” as an excuse to push for ending detention of phony “asylum seekers.” They reason that if they can achieve that, then every “asylum seeker” will have to be released into the interior of the country, never to be seen again (at least not until they resurface by drunkenly running over someone, raping someone, or just outright murdering someone).

So Elizabeth Warren is in Miami because that’s where the debate is. I just want to show you a photo here — go ahead and put it in the switcher. This is Elizabeth Warren visiting a Florida migrant detention center. There is so much media there that you cannot see her. I went into Markup and I drew a red arrow pointing to Fauxcahontas in this sea of media people. It’s all media there!

There’s so much media, you can’t see her. If you were able to zoom in on the photo, you would see that she’s wearing some kind of a baseball cap. I mean, this is classic. There’s more media than there will be people in the debate tonight! There’s more media in that picture than people in Florida who care about where Elizabeth Warren is. It’s stunning!

And I’ll tell you what it looks like to me. It looks like the battle of the Little Bighorn in reverse. You got one poor Indian there surrounded by a sea of palefaces. That’s what it looks like to me. I looked at that and I said, “Oh, my gosh. It’s George Custer! George Custer is surrounded here!” Well, you do. You have Elizabeth Warren who is an Indian and she’s surrounded by a bunch of paleface media people there, battle of Little Bighorn in reverse. All right. We may go back to that photo, I mean, ’cause to me that is illustrative of the situation.
