All bag pipes need tuning. They are so bad, nobody can say the are ever in tune

Oh, horse feathers.

Because they use multiple split reeds against a double reed (like what you might see in an oboe), they are *difficult* to tune properly. But like anything else there's a trick to it, and once you get the knack it goes o.k.

My husband had perfect pitch, so he always let me know when one of the drones was a bit "off".
