Youll be drawn and quartered if you suggest reforming entitlement spending on this website.
It's not that FReepers don't think it's the right course of action. It's the fact that it's become a political impossibility. GWB's second term political decapitation over comparatively mild SS reforms proved that once and for all.
From this chart it's clear that would make little difference anyway. We'd hit the wall doing 98MPH instead of 130. And likely not as since no one on the planet could survive our sudden collapse, everyone is going to go on printing and spending and behaving as if everything is hunky-dory.

The CBO is likely run by the same Keynesian economics leftists whom the populate Fed.
They eat and breathe forecasting models with unicorns and rainbows when leftists are in the Whitehouse. The opposite when folks like PDJT are there.
CBO is really leftist congressional...

Federal agencies and departments dedicated to wealth redistribution, education, environmentalism, labor, etc. are extra-Constitutional at best. And arguably un-Constitutional.What's the difference between "unconstitutional" and "extra-constitutional?"

Entirely my eccentric view on it: That some programs shouldn’t exist because they are not authorized by the Constitution (”extra-Constitutional”) and that some programs violate the constitution (”un-Constitutional”)

(The above is not a statement of fact. It is either opinion or satire. Or both.)

Sooo pathetic. But all that counts for a Dem / liberal / socialist is how giving away other peoples’ money to the “unlucky” or “downtrodden” or “unfortunate” makes themselves feel. The more money they give away, the better they feel. Their mental and emotional maturity got arrested in junior high, unfortunately.
