If you ever read the history on the formative years of European Fascism, this is the identical thing that took place.

One author said, there was so much anti church sentiment in France, that the Pope himself couldn't safely walk down the street. Young Fascists said they would spit on him or slap his face, on sight.

None of the Liberal rhetoric or conduct is new. It's all straight out of the Fascist playbook.

BTW-Respective European governments did just what the US is doing. They permitted themselves to be intimidated... we all know where THAT went.
