There is going to be some type of deal for DACA and maybe anchor babies. No one in Congress or in the administration has the guts to deport all illegals.
I don't like it, and probably 99.9% of the base don't like it either. I want mass deportations stat and a moratorium on all legal immigration. We've been screwed over before in 1986.
But Trump has already said plenty of times he wants to take care of the DACA recipients. He's even offered 1.8 million during the first gov't shutdown.
If the border is certified secured, English is the official language, no more anchor babies, moratorium on legal immigration, drug cartels are destroyed, and an immediate deportation of MS-13 and the Mexican Mafia types in prison/jails, then I would *grudgingly* allow the anchor babies and DACA permanent residency status only (No voting, must pay taxes, not eligible for welfare or gov't funded assistance).

That "1.8" is only the tip. The shaft will be 18-20 million with chain migration and anchor babies. It's 1986 all over again.
We need to BLOW UP Trumps twitter page, he pays more attention to us than Grahamnesty!!!
I think your analysis of the situation is spot on. Your wish list at the end though (starting with “If the border is certified secured, English is the official language...”), ain’t gonna happen sorry to say.
Because of what you correctly surmise in the previous sentences in your post: DACA will probably be pushed through and they will be given full citizenship. Also no way “English is the official language”, and no way any kind of moratorium on *legal* immigration is on the table, especially since everyone, Trump included (as you correctly pointed out), seems to be seriously considering DACA as a viable option.
So it’s as others have said: it’s 1986 all over again. I’m just hoping that the wall actually will be built. That actually might make this different than 1986. If it’s not built though, Trump is done in 2020.
The trouble is that "DACA eligibility" is not well defined, and the DACA numbers, and maximum age keep increasing, while the "required proof" of eligibility keeps shrinking. I hope Trump understands exactly how difficult it will be to avoid not only a disaster, but in fact a precedent-setting disaster.
