You betcha I’ll be having fun that night. LOL The hard part is waiting until the 4th to shoot them off. I could do it sooner but that takes the fun out of the 4th so I wait. But others will be shooting them here and there between now and then.
It’s just weird that fireworks can be sold year-round but you can’t shoot them. Haven’t figured that one out yet.
It does take some of the fun out it when they’re shot off and it isn’t dark. I recall you mentioning they were going off in Anchorage last year and I pulled up the cam site in hopes of seeing something but none are aimed in the right direction.
It shocked me at how light it was.
So “come home when the street lights come on” was what you grew up with, too, huh? That was the rule in our household as well.
How's everyone doing this morning?
It’s illegal in the city limits here always, and outside the city limits if we’re under drought conditions.
Golly...that’s a lot of daylight! Almost like you get sunrise/sunset all in a bundle. LOL!
Good morning, E...((HUGS))...hope you and Gizmo are headed out for a fun time.
You guys have a great Monday.
I don’t remember that rule, but it must have been in the many we had somewhere. LOL!
Radu, you’re like a little kid with fireworks. Me? Meh. The only ones i really like are the huge ones. Sometimes...and I guess this is silly....I watch the ones from the Duluth, MN, webcams over the harbor there off Lake Superior. They have really beautiful ones, and I don’t get mosquito bit watching them. :)
Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))
Did you and Gizmo have a good time at the lake? Did he try to drag you through the vines again? :-)
We had to abide by the rule until we were around 11 or 12, as I recall, and were allowed to stay out later after that. Things were different back then, though, and it wasn’t dangerous for kids to be outside like it is nowadays. I would not want to be a kid in this day and age.
But there’s still a lot of “kid” in me, especially when it comes to fireworks. LOL! I love watching them but love shooting them off even more. If I was allowed to and had the money to buy the whompers like they have at the big events, I’d do it in a heartbeat! As it is, 500 gram fireworks are the largest I can buy but they’re mighty nice and they have a loud BOOM when they fire off. I get goose bumps just thinking about it. LOL
Thank you for doing your part to help keep all of us free and safe.
Thanks, unique, for the pastries.
Coffee is always on........
How about a donut?
Cookies?
Veggies?
Sandwich?
Thankfully we didn't lose power from the storms. We had some thunder and lightning and heavy rain but that was about it.
The storm alarm did go off a number of times. Really active weather yesterday.
You all stay safe!!

So you did get some storms yesterday, did you? Must have been before I woke up. I kept an eye on your area during the afternoon and evening and by then they were passing to the east of you.
Glad they weren’t too bad and they didn’t knock your power out.
Fireworks and lightning. Yep...close.
Guess I’d better go. I should have gone an hour ago, but by golly, I had to go to bed “early” last night, and I wanted to stay up later than when the street lights came on. LOL!
G’night, y’all. Catch you tomorrow!
PS...those fireworks are gawjus, Kathy! :)
Yup. Both are accompanied by loud booms and both are fire in the sky.
Reckon the fascination has anything to do with being a fire sign? LOL
Sleep well both of you.
