If President Trump ONLY choose his cabinet and inner circle from those who post and frequent this website alone, there would be more than enough fire breathing patriots available who would sacrifice everything for this country.
There are at least 60 million of like minded people in the lower 48.

I opine: There are many qualified patriots outside the Beltway, but they are not connected to the movers and shakers. Trump listens to his leftist in-laws and swampish insiders, and has been convinced that only those who are connected (tainted) can get any cooperation from the apparatchiks.
It could be that way.
Even here, we seem to have deep state posters come out of the woodwork when certain topics are brought up.
I think most normal people aren’t particularly enthused about working in DC and acquiring the kind of experience expected of these positions. And we’ve had decades of open borders globalists filling key positions with swamp rats.
No one said it would be easy.
BTW, I do NOT think that Pence will do anything differently than GWB if he ever wins. I’ll never forget what he did as IN governor over the bill to protect Christian businesses.
