The Southern Baptist Convention chose David Uth, pastor of First Baptist Church in Orlando, as the president of the Pastors Conference for the next years annual meeting. Many should be reminded about who Uth is, and ask the question whether or not SBC leadership will be making strides for LGBTQ inclusion along with the rest of their latest compromises.
David Uth hosted a gay-affirming LGBTQ event in the wake of the Orlando gay night club shooting at his church, FBC Orlando. In case you have forgotten, #LoveOrlando was a gay-straight hug fest that happened at the church in the shootings aftermath. Taking the stage at that event was pastor Larry G. Mills, who said the following:
Were not peculiar because of race or gender or creed. But in Orlando we are peculiar because of E. Pluribus Unum. Out of many come one. We are peculiar because we have leadership that knows how to fight .We are peculiar because we know how to let theological differences and disputes and factions not get in the way of love and Christ. We are peculiar because we believe in the Word, and what others would have against us, what others would show as a stumbling stone, weve elevated to be the head of the corner, and right now, no matter what people [inaudible] might think, that LGBTQ area is the head cornerstone, and we are here to lift up and magnify, and allow them to know, that regardless of peoples opinion, regardless of where we are, love triumphs over evil.
There was no correction whatsoever (either during or after the event) of this pastor claiming that the LGBTQ community was the chief cornerstone. You can watch the video below.

In the wake of widespread criticism of this abominable, gay-affirming event (the church then asked homosexuals to come forward to be anointed and have hands laid upon them), David Uth prayed that God would strike discerning Christians dead if they criticized him.
You can watch Uths death wish upon discerners here:

Justin Peterson did a three-part series on this tragedy in Orlando, which you can find here. Brannon Howse and others also made much over the event, which was absolutely inexcusable.
Uth is the same pastor who let a Seventh Day Adventist cult member preach at his church. He also complained when Ben Carson was disinvited from the 2015 Pastors Conference, even though Carson is an Adventist.
Now, Uth is running the conference. Well see what happens, but it does not bode well for the SBC. They seem to have no doctrinal standards whatsoever these days.
[Publishers Note: If someone wants to take exception with the claim, gay-affirming, well ask you whats more affirming that laying on of hands at the front of the church
1 Timothy 5:22]
I’m not a Baptist (FWIW I’m LCMS), but if you’re a Baptist and you want to follow Christ and not the world, where do you go now?
My hope is that biblical congregations see the writing on the wall, and either disfellowship with this now-corrupt leadership and start their own conservative denomination, or they sternly rebuke the leadership so severely that they backtrack and dump this new conference president.
Whats so disheartening is that these decisions are made by messengers, delegates sent from various SB churches. Are so many so blind now? Maybe a split is inevitable.
Well, that’s the problem with tying yourself to a Denomination. You’re putting yourself in with big groups and big groups wind up just being a herd and eventually parts of the herd roam.
Well, they’re roaming straight to idolatry and creating their own version of god.
So, whats your solution? A nation of Lone Ranger congregations?
Whats festive about anal warts?
“Gay Affirming”? Is that a tern straight out of San Francisco?
Im trying to read this as a Bunyanian allegory, and trying to come up with an allusion for Uth being his name. Very unusual. Is it pronounced youth? How appropriate, since the brain dead youth of this world are all on the ghey train.
Wow. The SB standing with the devil now. Not what I recall SB were all about 30+ years ago.
At least the church I attend today has two pro-homo lawsuits—pending. Both filed by attendees claiming they were harmed or insulted or some such. Woohoo to the boohoos.
Stand for America and your God or surrender to Sodom. Your choice.
Recently I stumbled upon information regarding two groups of individuals...one called "bug chasers" and the other called "gift givers".
Google them and and you'll have the answer to your question.
Are there going to be any followers left when Christ returns? Save He shorten the days probably not!

Very few will survive the Tribulation, IMHO. Especially the last half, the Great Tribulation.
One notable exception, the Remnant of Israel at Petra. Basically 1/3.
Zechariah 13:9 King James Version
9 And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The Lord is my God.
The madness from the spirit of antichrist and principalities and powers is indeed world-wide.
“where do you go now?”
You do what 98% of Southern Baptists do anyways - ignore the SBC.
These freaks need adult supervision.
David Uth, I won’t pray that God strikes you dead. I don’t have to.
God has a special place in hell for teachers like you who mislead His children.
James 3:1-2 Amplified Bible (AMP)
3 Not many [of you] should become teachers [serving in an official teaching capacity], my brothers and sisters, for you know that we [who are teachers] will [a]be judged by a higher standard [because we have assumed greater accountability and more condemnation if we teach incorrectly].
Romans 12:19 New American Standard Bible
Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, “VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY,” says the Lord.
BURN, baby, BURN.
yep
Ive had my disagreements with the Independent Fundamentalist Baptists , mostly over some legalisms. But if that is where I end up....

One of the good guys.

Russell Moore, aged 47 - SBC (2nd) President of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission since 2013 - not 1 of the good guys.

Russell Moore with POTUS #44

David Uth, pastor of First Baptist Church in Orlando,FL was elected as the president of the SBC's Pastors Conference for its 2020 annual meeting.
The SBC is NOT pro-homosexuality. Not even close!
“RESOLVED, That the messengers to the Southern Baptist Convention meeting in Columbus, Ohio, June 1617, 2015, prayerfully call on the Supreme Court of the United States to uphold the right of the citizens to define marriage as exclusively the union of one man and one woman; and be it further
RESOLVED, That Southern Baptists recognize that no governing institution has the authority to negate or usurp Gods definition of marriage; and be it further
RESOLVED, No matter how the Supreme Court rules, the Southern Baptist Convention reaffirms its unwavering commitment to its doctrinal and public beliefs concerning marriage; and be it further
RESOLVED, That the religious liberty of individual citizens or institutions should not be infringed as a result of believing or living according to the biblical definition of marriage; and be it further
RESOLVED, That the Southern Baptist Convention calls on Southern Baptists and all Christians to stand firm on the Bibles witness on the purposes of marriage, among which are to unite man and woman as one flesh and to secure the basis for the flourishing of human civilization; and be it finally
RESOLVED, That Southern Baptists love our neighbors and extend respect in Christs name to all people, including those who may disagree with us about the definition of marriage and the public good.” - 2015
“While the Southern Baptist Convention considers whether or not to denounce white supremacy and the alt-right, it apparently has no such equivocation over the place for LGBT Christians at its annual gathering: gays and those preaching tolerance for them are not welcome inside the Conventions annual meeting.
At least, thats the message sent loud and clear to a small group of activists who tell RD they were forcibly removed from the convention this morning in Phoenix, Arizona.” - 2017
