Not only suspect but treasonous if true. WaPo and the NYTimes seem to think revealing classified operations are just a harmless prank and a good way to sell a few subscriptions.
Or, more likely, it’s completely fabricated BS so they’re in no real danger of violating national security statutes. Doesn’t make it harmless though.
As fabricated BS, it’s sticking their finger into a sensitive and problematic enough situation as is. If true, it’s even moreso. What a bunch of a@@holes.
On the other hand, it might have been deliberately leaked by the administration as a psy op, whether true or not.
