As Congress holds hearings on the possibility of reparations for African-Americans whose ancestors were slaves, the lines are being drawn regarding what is appearing to be a major 2020 election issue. It isn’t just the Democratic candidates for president who are talking reparations. It’s Democrats preparing for their Capitol Hill races, whether current or future candidates.
Reparations are a pay-for-vote issue. This is only barely disputed by mainstream media who have tried to frame it as, “Yes, it’s an election ploy but that doesn’t make it wrong.”
Yes, it’s wrong. Today’s Americans are neither complicit nor affected by the sins of the past. We’re not talking about the oppression of parents or grandparents. We’re talking about generations past who no longer hold sway on the opportunities of African-Americans today. As Burgess Owens testified yesterday, there are plenty of people who have held back African-Americans, and most of them are Democrats.
Thomas Sowell’s quote acts as a reminder that slavery is not unique to white Americans or African-Americans of the distant past. It’s a stain on humanity as a whole. Reparations are not the solution. The solution can be seen today in the elevated prosperity and opportunity of those whose ancestors fought to give them. If anything, reparations are an insult to those who sacrificed so much for the free land we have today.

I need some reparations.
We all have some ancestors who were enslaved at one time. If this reparations crap keeps up we will ALL break even. What a scam. Follow the money. Always follow the money. Besides, I’ve heard some racial racketeers brag that the ancient Egyptians were dark skinned Africans. They enslaved the Hebrews for centuries over 5000 years ago. Any reparations we owe are chump change compared to just the accrued interest on a 5000 yr old debt that’s never been repaid. They wanna play games, so can we.
Well if it wasn’t for slavery there wouldn’t be many blacks here. The black tribes captured the their slaves from other tribes and sold them to the Arabs, who sold them to to the farmers. Slavery has been around since humans evolved. Ask Hitler. The Dims were the keepers, and fought freedom for the last 150 years. Now they want to enslave everybody.
Actually, according the the book of Exodus, the Jews plundered the Egytians as they left. That's how they came up with enough gold to make the golden calf.
I understand that what democrats preach doesn’t help blacks or whites for that matter. But in reality the system in the US doesn’t hold anyone back. People held back have done it to themselves. There isn’t one excuse for anyone in the US today. None, I’m so tired of hearing about things like this.
Slavery, Jim Crow, those things have not held anyone back. It’s all a bunch of liberalism.
Reparations? I’d rather have an emancipation from the (economic) slavery of the welfare state.
Only via govt can there be no slavery (officially), but they can take any % of your $$ and call it anything BUT the obvious (and, sorry, I don’t hear ANY (R)N(C) ‘fighting’ that injustice. Not when their new motto should be “*WE* can run it better!”).

There’s a quote from Malcolm X that white liberals have done damage to blacks than all the slavers and segregationists combined.
Don’t often quote from Malcolm but he’s right. Just look at what Liberals like De Blasio have done to NY public schools. And what he’s going to make it even worse by not arresting the ferals that commit crimes on school grounds.
The RATS are very worried about, and are very dependent on, the black vote. With this reparation crap they are just trying to keep (buy) them all on the RAT plantation.
All of course, on the back of the taxpayer. As usual.

The reason all the dems want reparations is because they are unable to provide an economy that gives Blacks decent jobs. What the Blacks should realize is after they get the few dollars these dems promise, they will no longer have decent jobs to support their families.
Only hope they have is with Trump and the Republican party.
If the are promising money, it’s that vote buying?
The reality is that there were FAR MORE blacks exported from Africa to the muzloid world than were imported to North America.
Yet, there are very few blacks in the muzloid world today.
The difference is that the muzloids castrated all of the black males that they imported. This was not done in the west.
My people were enslaved by the Babylonians 3000 years ago, and I still ain’t got my check.
In 2017 I did, however, receive my reparations check for the New Orleans levee breach in 2005.
Let’s just say I celebrated at Starbucks with coffee AND a scone, while the lawyers made out like bandits.

Black Americans owe their EXISTENCE to slavery. Without the forced migration, coupled with the forced pairings, African Americans descended from slaves would not exist - either here or in Africa. They can bitch about slavery, but without it, they wouldn’t be here.
