The first sentence in the article:
“A Cook County judge on Friday ordered the surprise appointment of a special prosecutor to investigate the short-lived prosecution of Jussie Smollett, saying it may have been legally invalid from the very beginning”
The judge who’s ordering the investigation thinks the PROSECUTION “may have been legally invalid from the very beginning”.
Can you spell, “cover up”?
Yes, but that statement can be taken to mean several different things.
Here in Illinois the Special Prosecutor must come from another County. So the Cook County Machine wont be able to control whos appointed. Whether or not theyll be able to get it referred to another Dem controlled County remains to be seen.
Nevertheless that sound you hear is a whole bunch of sphincter muscles clamping shut in the Cook County justice system. Right now theyre so tight if you shoved a lump of coal in there a week later a diamond would drop out.
