An investigation into racist and insensitive Facebook posts allegedly made by active-duty and former police officers across the country has led to 72 Philadelphia cops being placed on administrative leave, Commissioner Richard Ross announced Wednesday.

The posts in question were uncovered by a team of researchers who spent nearly two years looking at the personal Facebook accounts of police officers from Arizona to Florida. They found officers bashing immigrants and Muslims, promoting racist stereotypes, identifying with right-wing militia groups and glorifying police brutality.

Big Brother is watching you
My prediction is that open racism makes a comeback in the general population. It’s already explicit in the black community. Most blacks just hate whites. I’m convinced of this. There is enormous racism in the black community. The white community, to a large degree, tries not to be racist. But I think people are getting tired of that charade. People want to say how they feel. And it’s not good.
Sounds to me like Philph-adelphia is carrying out a social justice agenda and opening the city to more crime..
Who funded the team of researchers?
Anything posted on Facebook can and will be used against you...
Sounds like these guys’ union is asleep at the switch.
The persecution is only beginning. So you can trust God almighty or man. If you choose to feed us to the lions, or march us to the ovens..
Bad days ahead my brothers and sisters right here in America.
Theres gonna be Mayhem in the City of Brotherly Love.
Does the first amendment not apply? If not, why not?
We need to know what these officers actually said in context. Working while Republican is not a crime.
Yeah - this wasnt racism.
I wonder how many police were suspended for having racist views of whites or demanding that the rich be killed or that pro-life or pro-marriage people need to be hunted down.
This was a pure political witch hunt.
... yet.
By the way, it's not just politics. I'm also referring to those knuckleheads who feel posting pictures of themselves getting hammered at a keg party is a good thing. What they are in fact doing is limiting their career options.
I post here and a few other places under a pseudonym but even so, I'm careful about what I put out there. Even behind a screen name, you are not really safe from having your real identity exposed - "doxxing" as they call it these days.
Mr. Employee, what are you hiding? You have no facebook, twitter, instagram, pinterest that we can find. Why? What is your agenda? Never mind, you’re fired!
The crime of insensitivity. To the gallows.
Theres gonna be Mayhem in the City of Brotherly Love.
Gonna be?
I work less than half an hour from Philly and haven’t been to the city in 3 years. And only then for a work meeting.
It’s full of ferals and woke millenials.
Facebook? Never heard of it.

A multi-year investigation by a non-profit group Plain View Project, resulting in the hiring of an outside law firm to do the investigating.
Someone has it out for the Philly PD.
