Mark Levin endorses State Rep. Arnold Mooney for 2020 U.S. Senate — Moore ‘had his shot and he lost’

On Thursday, former Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore made his expected candidacy for the 2020 U.S. Senate Republican nomination official with an announcement in Montgomery.

Reactions to Moore’s candidacy have been plentiful, and on the Thursday broadcast of his nationally syndicated radio show, conservative talker Mark Levin, author of “Unfreedom of the Press,” offered his response with an endorsement for State Rep. Arnold Mooney (R-Indian Springs).

Levin called Mooney “the most conservative individual” in a field that includes Moore, Mooney, former Auburn head football head coach Tommy Tuberville and U.S. Rep. Bradley Byrne (R-Fairhope).

“I want to make an endorsement for the U.S. Senate in Alabama,” Levin said. “I see Roy Moore has jumped in. I want to endorse Arnold Mooney, who is a state representative, who is a solid conservative for the nomination of the Republican Party of the U.S. Senate in Alabama. Later in the summer, I hope to have him on the program. It is a little early now.”

“I was going to wait on this endorsement, but since Roy Moore has jumped in – look, folks, we’ve not only got to hold the Senate but increase it with more conservatives. We’ve got to take back the House. We have to reelect the president. It is that simple. I see what’s on the horizon, and so do you. I’m not just a squawker behind the microphone telling you how great I am and all the rest of it. I am an activist. So the most conservative individual, and he’s a terrific individual who is running for the Republican nomination in the state of Alabama as far as I’m concerned is Arnold Mooney.”

Levin trashed Trump after he announced.
*****************************************
Dude, that was then ...this is now! Focus on now and 2020 and you’ll be happier AND better able to help the Trump agenda.

Arnold Mooney is the FIRST 2020 Republican Senatorial candidate the Senate Conservatives’ Fund had decided to support. Mooney is the REAL DEALZ.

I remember hearing the whiner, Mark Levin, say that the only reason he was going to vote for Trump was to be able to hold him personally accountable for every stupid thing Trump would do. This was also the only justification he gave his listeners, as well.

You see, he knew Trump was far better than Hillary, but he’d dug such a hole in his attacks against Trump (including his vow for a week and a half that he never support Trump) that he knew his own listeners would rather throw the election to Hillary than to see Trump win. Levin undug that hole by saying Trump was $hi+, but it is better to be morally superior and lord that over a terrible candidate than to vote for the evil Hillary that Levin had driven everyone to logically support over Trump, due to Cruz losing the nomination.

FUML!

FUML indeed. Remember when he vowed to leave his spot behind the mic and campaign for Sharon Angle to unseat Harry Reid? Then a dog died, he curled up in the fetal position and ML was once again all talk, all bookseller and no action where his influence might really have made a difference. Used to love him, now can’t stand him.

Yep. Levin was angry because the base had figured out that Levin, Club for Growth, Heritage Foundation, Town Hall, etc. were pulling a big fat con on conservatives so the base said F it, we’re supporting the guy who gets results instead of worrying about who has a higher ACU rating or who will speak at the next CPAC event while Hillary flushes the toilet that Obama did #2 in on America.

I had forgotten the Sharon thing, but I do remember the many days he took off to grieve over his dog. He wrote some book about dogs, I think, after that event.

He’s a friggin’ baby.

Didn’t he have some sort of issue with his marriage around that time? Was he married to the dog or a woman?

Cemented in my mind.

Rush too was pushing for Marco or Ted. There all just as good he said.

I liked Ted, until Iowa with his voter shaming and tool Beck mock inauguration. What a joke.

Fools just out themselves sometimes. They can’t help it. You feel bad for a second and then your like F-Off.

Freepers don’t forget. That’s the deal.

Peace.

You need to stop firing on the men in your foxhole. They wear the same uniform.

Now he is.

But he wasn’t when we needed him in the beginning.

Granted, the Levin of today is cutting though the lefts lunacy like a knife.

...but he was firing on me in ‘15.

I believe this is what you are referencing...while obviously unflattering, it isn’t quite the same as you described.

Firing on you in 15...Yes...but Trump had been doing so as well, which Levin and many of us here remembered quite well. Trump, for example, blasted Romney for taking too hard a line on immigration and even blamed his loss on it. Trump blasted conservatives from the stage by name at his Phoenix Rally saying we needed government health care that took care of everybody “get used to it, conservatives!” Called for “universal coverage” and the “government will pay for it” in an interview with Scott Pelley. I could go on but I don’t really want to relive that again...the things I said were along the same lines as Levin, and are still in the archives to find - needless to say what I had to say was extraordinarily unflattering about candidate Trump and the reasons were well founded and rational, like Levin’s. But time has proven the President’s supporters to be vindicated in the faith they had in him, because he has been a positively successful President much to the very pleasant surprise of many of us here. There was plenty of reason not to trust him at the time. Since then, either his abrupt 180 degree turns were either completely sincere, or he is simply keeping “the deal” he made with those he promised to deliver for in exchange for the votes to get elected. Either way, he has been far more effective in getting truly conservative policies implemented than many others (not to mention the judges - that is truly a big one). It is a reality that cannot be denied...though some like Bill Crystal oppose Trump even if he does things they agree with on paper simply because it is President Trump doing it. They would rather have bad policy implemented as long as Trump isn’t there - that is mentally deranged. Levin isn’t one of those. Ben Shapiro was a self-described “Never Trumper” but when Trump has done things he agrees with, he supports him in those instances...Crystal, Ana Navaro, etc. apparently believe personal hatred for a person should prevail over everything else. Nutcase behavior - that is irrational - not Levin’s sincere skepticism for which he had ample reason to hold in the beginning. But time has proven the worst fears to be ultimately unfounded...he truly has pushed through good policies...some of which we have wanted to see for a long time. Levin and Trump agree Roy Moore is awful...I agree with both of them.

I think you are mistaken.

Levin supported Trump in the general election.

Tell you what there, little skippy.
Levine said what he said and the punk ass little open borders prick has never issued a retraction where he said it.

I don’t care whether it is open borders that you desire, or whether you have some sort of fetish for Levine, whichever of the two possibilities it is doesn’t matter.

Levine is no sale. He can take his pretend conservative scream show and stuff it. He blew his cover three years ago.
