Now is the time to see the kinks in our HR system. HR seems to be driven by lawyers and fears of lawsuits. So they follow a rigid form where they check off the boxes.
There are applicants who have interviewed with the hiring manager and the manager has told HR that they are wanted. But these applicants don't fit the check off boxes. HR cannot check off the box so the applicant is not hired.
HR needs to fix its practices.
Also, the legislature and congress need to fix the ambulance chasers. Texas shifted from 2nd gear to 4th gear when it cleaned up civil suit law. Mississippi is at the bottom because it has the worst lawsuit climate. Its Republican party is controlled by those lawyers. Georgia needs to learn from Texas and Mississippi and fix its major employment problem.
How will Georgia handle the fact that hollywood is moving out of our state? I am worried..../s
GA continues to be one of the top 5 states in the nation to attract businesses.
Construction is hot.
Industrials could be better and it didn’t help that the Valmiera Plant in Dublin closed this past week. 350 folks out of work! That was a huge investment.
One of the best things about the tightening labor market is that they now have to do actual work rather than run the resumes they receive through a robot algorithm which trash cans those not containing certain key words which the HR people keep as a closely guarded secret.
Hollywood?
Who needs that pile of human debris?
