Michael Moore is warning Democrats about the "enormity of the fight" ahead of the 2020 election, saying the president "hasn't lost one inch of his fired-up insane base."
The filmmaker and liberal activist weighed in after watching Trump speak at his reelection campaign launch rally in Orlando on Tuesday night before a sold-out crowd of 20,000.
“I watched the whole thing last night,” Moore wrote to his more than 6 million followers on Twitter. “I know no one wants to waste that kind of time even looking at him [Trump], but not wanting to see the enormity of the fight ahead doesn’t make it go away. He hasn’t lost one inch of his fired-up insane base. Are u ready?”
Moore once predicted before the 2016 election that Trump would overcome long odds to defeat Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, who was widely favored in polls.
"Donald J. Trump is going to win in November. This wretched, ignorant, dangerous part-time clown and full time sociopath is going to be our next president," the filmmaker wrote on his website at the time.
"President Trump. Go ahead and say the words, ‘cause you’ll be saying them for the next four years: 'PRESIDENT TRUMP.'"
No presidential incumbent has lost reelection since George H.W. Bush in 1992, when Democrat Bill Clinton won comfortably in the electoral college, 370-168, despite only winning 43 percent of the popular vote. Bush finished with 38 percent of the vote, while independent Ross Perot took 19 percent of the vote.
Trump currently stands at 44.3 percent in the RealClearPolitics index of polls.

Yes, Moore's one of the few democrats who doesn't hide from things he doesn't like - that sets him apart. The Morning Joe crew cites polls that are bogus... and fall over each other agreeing with their delusions and group-think. It's weird.
Michael Moore doesn't do that - he's more like us in that way. It must be rough for him being a democrat and having to be around people who are so delusional...

As much as Moore would like to live in a dreamland, and as “fantastic” (as in fantasy) he thinks his ideas will pan out, he still a documentarian, and can read large crowds of people.
