PHILADELPHIA U.S. authorities seized more than $1 billion worth of cocaine Tuesday from a ship at a Philadelphia port, calling it one of the largest drug busts in American history.
The U.S. attorneys office in Philadelphia announced the massive bust on Twitter on Tuesday afternoon, saying law enforcement agents seized about 33,000 pounds of cocaine from a large ship at the Packer Marine Terminal. Members of the crew were arrested and face federal charges.

“I was on roxys for pain. 5 dollar co pay. I was offered 1500 dollars for my bottle.”
Want to know how bad it is? I got a prescription for Tramodol. I picked it up at the local CVS and when I left the store I was offered 200 for the bottle. I told the person Tylenol for Arthritis is better and cheaper.
You get an A for creativity.

But thats just me.

'Online ship trackers said the vessel seized in Philadelphia, named MSC Gayane, sails under the flag of Liberia and arrived in Philadelphia after 5 a.m. Monday. The ships previous ports of call were the Bahamas on June 31, Panama on June 9, Peru on May 24 and Colombia on May 19, records show.'
I’m thinking that one was a diversion I’d keep checking around.
Their boldness in smuggling that amount of drugs makes me wonder how many times they got away with other crimes.
I dont know why theyre not. At the border there are lots full of cars that were seized because they contained drugs.
It's not the "Vessel" (MSC Gayane), it's the containers. When someone crosses a land border, it's a single container, that's the responsible party. If it was a railroad, same thing, you could confiscate the car, but not the entire train or locomotive.
They loaded 16 tons (of cocaine) and what did they get? Another day older and deeper in debt, along with their bust
