Jackie Kennedy Onassis would never have entered the country illegally to become an escort and never would have considered spending a moment with vile trash like Trump, one critic tweets
President Trump sparked angry criticism on Friday, this time by comparing his wife, Melania, to former first lady Jackie Kennedy Onassis during a Fox & Friends interview.
The president made the comparison while talking about his decision to switch the paint job on Air Force One, which has been around since the early 1960s.
You know the baby blue doesnt fit with us, Trump said. It was Jackie O and thats good, but we have our own Jackie O today, its called Melania.
Air Force One will move towards a navy color scheme that also includes shades of gold and red, the president said. Well call it Melania T, OK? he added.
As youd expect, Trump comparing his wife to a beloved icon who has been synonymous with grace and style for decades didnt sit well with many of his critics.
Jackie O was an educated woman of integrity and grace who gave mightily to this country. She would have never been a birther, one Twitter user said. She never entered the country illegally to become an escort and never would have considered spending a moment with vile trash like Trump.
If Melania is Jackie O, then today Stormy Daniels should sing a Marilyn Monroesque Happy Birthday Mr President right before drawing a pic of Trumps weird mushroom penis, said another.
Okay, I will. See you next rant.
Apparently plenty of people did!
and still do!
Look at all the people who come out and want to refight the 30 Years War over a Catholic post!
The Treaty of Westphalia was something that just a passing fancy!
Apparently plenty of people did!
Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy watching
religious wars as much as anybody. Not
having a dog in the fight makes it even
better.
Well it was 1960 not 1928 (Al Smith).
It was an issue in WV, I can remember some of my Baptist relations concerns. They voted Rat anyway so they weren’t that concerned!
I believe the Bouvier’s had money of their own.
I didn’t know my dad’s politics until during the Clinton regime. I criticized Bill sharply and found out my dad had voted for and supported him. Then I found out a cousin of roughly my age was an even stronger Clintonite. Neither one of the two were given to serious thinking, so I think they were democrat out of habit and upbringing. Dang if I didn’t turn out to be the black sheep of the family.
Jackie O was ugly inside and out. I don’t see the relevance.
Nothing to do with him being Catholic. It’s how he lived his debauched life, Old Joe buying his Senate election which was common knowledge, etc. Those aren’t Christian characteristics.
Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Matthew 7:20
Also ... Democrat. There’s that.
Saying they were Christian and Republican implied to me they were both factors in determing the vote. It followed that they saw JFK as un-Christian. I don’t remember how much ‘debauchment’ was known before the election. Didn’t that all come out later?
I think the only reason, which is reason enough, they voted for Nixon was because Tricky Dick was a Republican. My folks voted Democrat regardless, too.
“I dont remember how much debauchment was known before the election. Didnt that all come out later?”
A woman in my uncle’s church in W. Palm Beach was a maid for Kennedys’ friends/neighbors for years before the election. We definitely knew about the debauchery.
I understand that it’s a popularity contest for some who are impressed with “rock stars”. For others, it’s deeper.
That sticks in your craw, doesn’t it?
When Pierre Trudeau was first elected,
he was a ‘rock star.’ I’d venture to
say Trump may get that when history is
being written. It simply means a
popular, charismatic young figure.
My craw? What sticks in my craw? It makes no sense.
“It simply means a popular, charismatic young figure.” Not qualifications for President.
Well yeah. Much easier for the simple minded LibTards than studying policy and digging into the real nuts & bolts of the candidate.
Go on MTV, play a sax and discuss your underwear with a stranger - that's meaty stuff.
Sticks in your craw because you keep bringing it up.
The intent seems to be portraying me as a shallow person, which is fine, but I wasn’t even old enough to vote when JFK was elected.
You think only libs are ignorant of policy when going into the voting booth? I’d say most people are.
[Not ALL. In OUR family, we all had tears in our eyes, and knots in our stomachs, over that new first family. I remember Mom crying like a baby when we learned that Kennedy won the election. Sickening.]
I agree. But IMO libs carry it several steps further.
She was actually a very dignified First Lady. Not as beautiful as Melania, but a cultured woman who presented well and didn’t stick her nose into politics. Her main issue as First Lady was refurbishing the White House, and she did a wonderful job of convincing a lot of rich people to contribute antiques and art. The place had gotten really shabby when she moved in.
I was a few days shy of ten years old when JFK was killed. The way that Mrs. Kennedy conducted herself through that ordeal and the funeral was a great inspiration to a little girl who had been reared to appreciate and cultivate inner strength and dignity under pressure.
You’re just trying to be provocative.
[didnt stick her nose into politics.]
