What’s the connection between Allentown and Buffalo?

Allentown is an unofficial designation of a neighborhood in Buffalo named for Allen Street. It's a street of (once) trendy local shops and bars.

It retains it's now largely defunct old reputation as an 'arts community'.

People hold on to the memory of 'Allentown' as a hip neighborhood of progressives and 'artists' but as you can see from the videos those days are long gone.
