One thing that comes with being in politics for awhile: a thick skin and a sense of humor, both of which Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has.
Speaker Nancy Pelosi recently took shots at McConnell, calling him the Senate's "grim reaper" because he refuses to bring Democrats' ridiculous legislation before the entire chamber.
"Leader McConnell seems to take great pride in calling himself the Grim Reaper.' Its part of his political campaign," Pelosi said.
During an appearance on Fox News' "Ingraham Angle," McConnell said he agreed with Pelosi.
Shes got it right. For the first time in my memory, I agree with Nancy Pelosi," McConnell said. "I am indeed the 'Grim Reaper' when it comes to the socialist agenda that they have been ginning up over the House with overwhelming Democratic support, and sending it over to America. Things that would turn us into a country we have never been."
According to McConnell, there's no point in bringing extreme left, progressive bills before a Republican-controlled Senate.
"None of those things are going to pass the Senate. they won't even be voted on. So think of me as the Grim Reaper," McConnell previously said, Fox News reported.
This isn't the first time McConnell has embraced a rather ridiculous label. During the 2018 midterm election, McConnell's primary opponent, Don Blankenship, labeled him "Cocaine Mitch." The reason? McConnell's in-laws own a cargo shipping company. A few years ago 90lbs of cocaine was found on one of the ships as it was getting ready to leave Colombia. The nickname was baseless. No one from the company, let alone McConnell or his wife, Elaine Chao, were involved.
For the first time in my memory, I actually agree with Nancy Pelosi: I am the grim reaper when it comes to stopping the Democrats' socialist agenda.
And keep the approval/confirmation process for judges humming along...!
The suggestion that pelosi might be spending some quality time with the Grim Reaper harkens back to the idea of hope and change.
Yep.....the sword cuts both ways b***.
Wow! I may have to send some greenbacks to his campaign with this and the judges he has gotten approval for.
Dear MRS. Pelosi, how many bills passed by the Republican controlled House were never taken up in the Democrat controlled Senate?

Thanks jazusamo.
“As long as they spell my name right”
I agree...He’s doing a good job on judges and ripping a Dem like this, especially Pelosi, is icing on the cake. :^)

I haven’t, contact Jim by private mail.
It’s called double secret probation.

Embrace the insult! It’s the best way to disarm your opponent.... and then go on the offensive.
As we did with the term "Deplorables".
