Thank you!! Marijuana is far less harmful than alcohol. Not even comparable in my opinion.

Do we wan tpharmacy techs and pharmacists smoking weed?

I hope not because I worked around some people who smoked dope and they were lazy a fatigued all the time. Yes, they were funny and worthless.

Someone who smokes on a Saturday night is no different than someone who drinks on a Saturday night. Someone who is drinking daily has just as many (but different) issues than someone who smokes weed daily.

Your post has nothing to do with my post. I do not want a drunk or a doper filling my prescriptions.
Got it?

Pot turns its addicts to the left. That makes it far more dangerous than alcohol.

It had everything to do with your post. Also, You said nothing about drunks filling rx’s In your post. You referred only to weed smokers. While weed has a reputation for making people lazy, I think that smoking on a Saturday will have as much influence on work ethic as someone who drinks on their weekend. Addiction and over indulgence in either is going to make for poor work performance.

Exaggerating a point does not make for being realistic. We are not talking about addicts. It’s about off the clock, moderate use.

I do no not want drunks or dopers filling my prescriptions. That is not an unreasonable opinion. I do not even want them pushing levers to start rides at carnivals.

Try having a joint or just one toke of potent pot with lunch and see what happens. Distance perception and concentration go out the window. A male drinker could have 20fl oz of beer with lunch and have no impact on any senses what so ever. And if they decided to take the day off and have one 10fl oz of beer every hour they could do that and still have no change in sensory activity. You can’t do it with weed.

Perhaps You’d be surprised at how many ‘suits’ are weed smokers. Successful, middle aged men and women who do it privately and moderately. Using weed is not limited to ‘lazy teenagers’. Because of your view, those who you know that do it, would never tell you.

Due process!

Government is denying businesses the right to set their hiring standards.

Everyone’s tolerance is different. one beer would have a huge impact on me, two may give me the spins.

This is awful for Nevada to involve itself in this issue. Everyone knows that Marijuana messes with your cognitive powers. Therefore, Nevada says you must hire someone who is not all there all the time. That is wrong!

just as it’s not ok to go to work under the influence of alcohol, someone should not go to work under the influence of pot.

If they smoked at home on their weekend, why is that a problem? They are not impaired and there are no cognitive issues

Okay. The company faces liability when any worker causes damage. The government is outlawing screening for one known source of such liability.

And you think this is a GOOD thing?

WTH?

A female could have 1 standard drink per hour to keep her blood achohol level below 50mg per 100ml of blood volume. If she was a Jumbo pilot she could have half a standard drink an hour and stay below 20mg of booze per 100ml of blood. You cannot legally fly over 20mg/100ml. Now imagine a jumbo flown by a pilot who had a toke during pre flight. Horrendous. There is no standard THC levels in weed. He or she might have blown some cash on low THC weed and maybe crack a smile. But what if it was jackpot weed that got you eating biscuits by the box full and giggle assed after 1 toke. Legal booze is standardized. You know how much pure alc you getting.

There is a big difference between coming to work stoned, and getting stoned two weeks ago.

As a practical matter pot stays in your system longer than almost any other drug including alcohol. You can smoke a little a couple nights a week. After a few weeks of that it could take weeks to get out of your system. I can guarantee a full blown Alcoholic can get away for years and years.

The rules are stupid for no reason other than out dated fed laws.

There are employers that prohibit tobacco used even in off hours.

So is pothead now a protected group like homosexual or crossdresser?
