WASHINGTON, June 14 (Reuters) - President Donald Trump has four leading candidates under consideration to replace outgoing White House press secretary Sarah Sanders, a Trump confidant said on Friday.
The four are deputy White House press secretary Hogan Gidley, Stephanie Grisham, who is first lady Melania Trump's communications director, former State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert and outgoing Treasury Department spokesman Tony Sayegh, the source said on condition of anonymity.

Election season is here and the President is going to need someone who can do the bit@#-slapping with skill and finesse. This way he can get as many of the squishy middle voters as possible. Michele would be somewhat very blunt in her approach. We need someone who will be tough and brutal, but with a great smile and well oiled words.

However, the thought of Tucker Carlson making the “Is it possible you are that stupid?” face while listening to Acosta, then responding with laughter followed by surprise when Acosta claims his question wasn’t a joke, would be something to behold.
Nauert for aesthetics, and she seems sharp. What was the reason she gave for leaving State?
I recently saw Candace Owens take on a Lefty spokesman quite handily. She talked circles around him even as he attempted to talk over her. When challenged, her answer came out without hesitation with a precise answer that left her challenger looking like a fool. She would crush the Left’s strategy of Identity Politics. She knows their game.
Heather Nauert would also be good. She was Trump’s pick as UN Ambassador to replace Nikki Haley. That tells me he has a high regard for her abilities.
Nauert won’t be selected. She had an illegal alien as a nanny.
A couple of years ago, when Heather Nauert was holding a State Department press briefing, a reporter asked her to comment on a “Dr. Sebastian Gorka” comment. She responded with such a disrespectful, snarky comment about Gorka. Her face could not hide her utter repulsion for him. It was at that moment that I decided I would never again watch little “Miss Perfect” Heather.
I nominate Tammy Bruce. She is hard as nails and says what needs to be said clearly and succinctly, no bullsh*t.
Trump nominated her for UN ambassador and she and her family were brutalized.
Tucker would be entertaining.
