The Rays have been in first place for most of this season, and yet they’re ranked dead last in the American League in attendance. They average fewer than 14,000 fans per game, and have had the worst attendance in the league in 14 of their 22 seasons.
This is a team that will do anything to attract any bunch of misfits to the ballpark. I would expect Bat Day to be a popular draw in LBGTQWERTY Month.
