The Rays saluted the LGTBQ community with Pride Night Friday, but unlike some franchises, the teams commemorative night did not represent a new endeavor for the Rays. SB Nation reports that this is the first year every MLB team will feature a special recognition of the community, but its been a regular staple in Tampa Bay for many years.

And that’s the least of it. Sports now have starting lineups that may include catchers, pitchers, tight-ends and wide receivers. Then there’s games where girls who mostly like girls run around kicking balls. OUCH!
Come on teams, just leave the extra-curricular off the field and PLAY BALL!
Sometimes when I need to get to sleep quickly, I’ll watch a couple of minutes’ worth of Orioles baseball. When they are in Tampa, I usually estimate the crowd at several hundred. Hell, the Pulse nightclub in Orlando probably got as many queers as that ballpark.

Despite being a division leading team, their home games are sparsely attended. As with the Marlins, Mets fans are actually a significant percentage of their ticket sales.
They can't really afford this type of stupidity.
