What of Texas? Do leftist cities like Houston etc have to follow state mandates on this?

Each time I read a piece like this I am reminded of the Kate Steinly incident in SF. The killer was a 5 or 6 time reported illegal who shot and killed a beautiful young lady for absolutely no reason. Her dad was with her and as he held her in his arms her last words were,”Daddy help me”

He actually walked on the charge of murder, claiming the gun was one he picked up from the ground and accidently discharged

It was never explained why the Jury didn’t think it strange that the illegal threw the gun into the SF Bay after the shooting.

Texas retirees may end up there TX taxes on property are sky high. Had to raise rent on tenant 150 to keep our head above water.
They use our taxes dollars to finance the illegals they have supported for years. Gov. Abbott just signed off on a prog ed bill allowing Big Brother Mental Health loose in the schools. All this of course for a public ed system that is now unusable.
The Tx lege totally sucks-we get no real improvements here.

“Unfortunately FL will never have another R Gov now that 3 million more democrats (I mean felons) can vote here now.”

Actually Florida recently passed legislation adding hefty fees for prior felons to pay if they want their voting rights restored. Florida winning!!

Democrat pols sure take their moderate democrat voters for granted. For years they have made fools out of them and now I think that many of them are starting to wake up thanks to good leadership by POTUS. :^D

... gives the governor the authority to remove officials from office if they do not comply with the law.

If I was governor, I couldn't wait to go to work in the morning.

This is why San Francisco is being punished with a modern version of the Egyptian plagues—poop and syringes everywhere they step.

“Gov. DeSantis is a blessing to our State. Our legislators are also doing right by their constituents.”

That’s my State & my Gov. It is a pleasure to see him put this law through. Glad I had the chance to vote him into office.

Sanctuary cities are popular in liberal states and in some cities in red states.

Among whom, exactly, are sanctuary cities popular?

And why is protecting American citizens from illegal invaders controversial?

Oh but the ACLU is all over this and telling people don’t come to Florida “because you can risk being deported even if you jaywalk”. Yes please don’t come to Florida.

I have every intention of going to Florida again. Not that I was planning to jaywalk, but I'm not afraid of deportation--maybe because I'm a citizen.
