Let's be real, it's not about vaping, it's about control. They passed smoking bans based purely on questionable science about secondhand smoking. With vaping they don't even have that, and they're still very gung-ho for public spaces bans. It tells me very clearly it was never truly about public health.

Remember all the “this is what your lungs look like” gimmicks?
I remember the one where they told smokers to put their cigs out in a jar half filled with water and when the jar was nearly filled that was what a smokers lungs looked like.
My wife passed away from Interstitial Lung disease. The doctors asked for a limited autopsy and permission to take tissue samples because so little is known about the disease. They offered to go over the autopsy with me whenever I felt like it.
It took two years but I finally talked to them about their findings.
They showed me the report, pictures and all the data. Very interesting.
I took the opportunity to ask the doctor about that old butts in a jar thing. She actually laughed and said it was so much BS it was worthy of a comedy skit.
She said she had performed thousands of autopsies in the past 20+ years and could take all day disproving all the propaganda about smoking.
According to her and one of her associates by the time the autopsy is done TEETH are the best indicator of whether someone was a smoker.
