She probably watched videos of herself at the judiciary hearings and said to herself "Man I am killin' it!". She checks off most of the checkboxes in the leftist playbook. On paper, she looked inevitable. However, she turned out to be in an echo chamber, and nobody was really paying attention to how inevitable she was. The irony is that the top polling rat is a handsy old white dude.
I can tell you from here deep behind enemy lines that the drones have no particular attachment to her on the basis of her living here. It’s not like she’s some beloved governor or scion of a long time political family. Don’t get me wrong: if nominated she’ll carry LA County with 70% of the vote, 90% in San Francisco County, etc., but “favorite daughter” status wont help her in the primary at all
