You are correct, nobody can fake a video so we should always accept them at face value. Oops, I forgot, it is possible to make fake videos now. Like this one of Mark Zuckerberg.
But our government never lies. They would not put out untrue information. Everything Hillary Clinton said about the attack in Benghazi was true! In fact when President Obama said "extremists and terrorists used (the anti-Muslim YouTube video) as an excuse to attack a variety of our embassies" shortly after the Benghazi attack he wasn't trying to mislead anyone, or lie about what happened because after all the place where the US Ambassador to Libya was murdered was not an embassy. It was just a diplomatic post!
And even though almost no one saw the video in question, somehow Obama, Rice and Clinton were telling the truth. What's wrong with you conservatives, don't you know the government never lies?
