The subsidies that cut export prices from China are themselves damaging the Chinese economy. When it gets to the government paying for a 50% tariff more will have to be extracted from the citizenry to pay for it, more assets will go toward paying for the tariffs. So long as the USA holds firm China will go down the tubs or will accept DJT’s terms of trade.The fly in the ointment is, of course, judges.
