Personally, I like the idea of a combined US/China/Japan lead strike against Iran in retaliation for the damage of six oil tankers. Japan and China both need that oil.
China has been buying oil directly from Iran counter to US Sanctions, but needs lots of oil and should be very conserved that tanker traffic not be mined.
Politically, getting China to squeeze Iran and side with the US would help settle some of the trade war posturing.
Also Japan participating in a military action against a foreign country to protect its own interest, would be an extremely sobering message to both China, North Korea and other Asian countries.
If the US just goes in and bombs Iran back to the stone age and destroys their nuclear capability that will be great, but if Trump can pull off a joint military action as cover for doing that, he might get that Nobel Peace Prize and send a heck of a message to the rest of the world.
Go Trump.
China has been buying oil from Iran in violation of the U.S. sanctions, but you want the U.S. and China to mount a joint strike against Iran?
This sounds like the retarded script of a WWE event.
There’s only one country even remotely considering going to war with at this time, and that country is Mexico.
The problem with that is that the overwhelming majority of the Iranian people hate their overlords and are very positive towards Americans. It would be tragic if large numbers of them would become collateral casualties.
