“Jarrett is VERY connected over there.”

And John Kerry’s in-laws are Iranian.

Or we can be deceived by duplicitous politicians and fail to focus on the real threat while getting misdirected to unleash resources on goat herders while allowing the degenerates unfettered access to our institutions? It’s not a question of “walking and chewing gum” as you say but IMHO it is failing to “Drain the Swamp because the Brown Shirt Media wants to tame alligators in some far flung corner of the world. It’s stupid.

What goes up will revert after the shock of reality sets in. The rise in prices will settle in short order. Nervous nellies will not prevail

The ongoing prices will be inadequate to save the Iranian economy

Agreed. But oil prices will settle down because the U.S. Navy is there to deal with this matter and keep it from getting out of hand.

Most( not all ) modern torpedoes have 2,000 lb or greater warhead. They make really big holes. This looks like sabotage and not torpedo damage.

I understand that there is a tendency to make events in the Gulf Americentric but there are Saudi, UAE and Israeli air forces in the coalition against Iran

Iran knows that and must split the coalition if it s to survive

I was thinking the same. Why aren’t the Panamanian and Marshall Islands providing protection?

Although responsibility is yet to be assigned, we know that Iran has threatened to mine the Strait of Hormuz for decades, thus blocking Persian Gulf oil exports, which supply 20% of the world’s energy needs.

Where now are all of the yapping Democrat Socialist Chihuahua’s who were wetting the floor over the prospects of America’s strategic energy independence from OPEC?

Obama did his very best to impede and destroy America’s fossil fuel energy exploration and production. Perhaps now he can advise the Ayatollah on what steps he should take next.

Possibly because neither has a navy. Security forces onboard the ships could not have prevented this damage.

I can almost guarantee it’s not The Iranians. Only simple-minded people think it’s the Iranians. It’s obviously someone who wants us to think it’s them. Let’s see if 1) we are stupid enough to think it’s them or 2) we use it as an excuse and say it’s them anyways.

“Most( not all ) modern torpedoes have 2,000 lb or greater warhead. They make really big holes. This looks like sabotage and not torpedo damage.”

Citation? Most Russian-supplied torpedoes, like the type Iran uses, have warheads in the <1000 lb range.

Top left hole is definitely from a torpedo. A man-portable limpet mine wouldn’t even make a hole 1/4 that size.

It’s kinda absurd to think an Iranian is going to swim dozens of miles to a ship and plant a small limpet mine when the Iranians have hundreds of torpedoes and cruise missiles to attack ships with.

A Russian made 553mm torpedo can’t sink a tanker. Pathetic.

Some outlets are using the term 'torpedo attack.' Take this with a huge grain of salt. It is very early to know definitively the nature of these attacks and a torpedo would drastically narrow down the possible culprits and could even be a pretext for a direct conflict. ...

Japanese President Abe is in Tehran where it was hoped he could broker some sort of dialogue or easing of tensions between the U.S. and Iran, but even as he is set to meet with the country's top leadership today, those prospects look increasingly dim.

Meanwhile, oil is up around 3.5%.

Please list the modern torpedo types with a 2,000 lb or greater warhead. Nukes don't count.
