Don't get your panties in a bunch. MLP tackles a lot of serious subjects, but it does so in a kid friendly way. I haven't seen the episode yet, but I'm sure the two aunts won't be "making out", they'll just be close friends. Which is nothing new to the show. Lyra and Bon Bon have been "very close friends" for years.
As for the "crusaders" thing, the show features the Cutie Mark Crusaders - three young fillies (Applebloom, Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle) on a quest to get their magic butt tattoos. As the show in it's last season this will probably be their last episode.
As for the whole homosexuality thing, I'm straight, and as long as your not molesting little kids I really don't care who you sleep with. But I have come to the conclusion that religions need an enemy, and conveniently a couple percent of people are homosexuals. Between the Catholics (need I say more) and the Moslems (Throw gays from rooftops, but Heaven is full of "Boys of perpetual freshness") the hypocrisy is astounding.
