The Supreme Court declined Monday to take up a legal dispute targeting the inscription of In God We Trust on coins and currency from the Department of Treasury.
Michael Newdow, an activist who filed the case on behalf of a group of atheists, argued Congress's mandate to inscribe the nations motto on U.S. money was a violation of the First Amendments Establishment Clause, which prohibits Congress from establishing a national religion.

Michael Newdow has been bothering congressmen in Sacramento about this ‘crusade’ for over the last 12 years.
He is driven.

Now, if we can just stop killing our unborn... At least 2-3 more Supreme Court picks from Trump and we may get there. Until then we chip away at EVERYTHING we can for these murder clinics and the filth that work there.

Newdow reminds me of the blacknight in Monty Python’s Holy Grail movie that has had all of his limbs chopped off(in Newdow’s case...legally). Left with nothing to stand on but his trunk stumps, he is still snarling...”come over here and fight...I’ll bite your knee caps off!”

Newdow had also pushed early, much earlier than the most recent “transgender” craze, for the new de-gendered pronouns.

Removing “In God We Trust” for anti-religious reasons would establish “Atheism” as the national religion.

Great. Don’t mess with our currency. Now deep six the movement to put the picture of a dead slave woman on our 20.

I’ll be glad to take all of his offending currency off his hands.

Michael Newdow and his fellow militant atheists will really find out what violating the establishment clause means when they stand for their judgement in front of a righteous God.
To: mdmathis6
He seems both pathetic and clingy to the point of being annoying. I used to hear a lot about him on a talk radio station KSFO AM in San Francisco. Melanie Morgan used to cover the stories.

I’m glad. This is one of the most petty, childish stunts pulled by militant Atheists. They make the rest of us look bad, and I’m thrilled that it’s been put to bed.
It’s part of our nation’s history, but some are so hateful that they feel the need to attack religion everywhere they see it. I find that tendency to be utterly disgusting and unbecoming.

Removing In God We Trust for anti-religious reasons would establish Atheism as the national religion. Was Atheism the national religion prior to 1956?
