A security video of the incident seems to reject the idea of robbery. The perp just walked up behind him and shot him in the back. More details emerging but it is claimed he is “out of danger”.
Tweet I caught this morning indicates damage to Ortiz’ liver (just how much was unsaid), plus the surgery required removal of gall bladder and part of his colon.
