Yeah, it was just nasty there. I hope our friends in that area are doing ok.

It didn’t rain but it was quite windy and now it’s cooler. It could still rain tomorrow...hopefully!

Did you get any more today? Are the corn tassels getting to you yet?

Sounds like a pretty darn good weekend. Fun yesterday and kicked back today. Hard to beat that with a big stick.

I went to a meeting last evening that had an interesting guest speaker. Since I had to make some food to take along, I didn’t work at the museum.

Kicked back today for the most part.

The best part of the weekend was rain, rain, and a little more rain. We were desperate for it.

Very nasty there. I watched one of the storm chasers as he drove around the city showing the mess left behind.

Glad you’re getting some cooler air blowing through. It must feel really good after the heat you had over the weekend.

We got a little over an inch of rain so far today. Not sure if we’ll get any more overnight but we’ll take it if it falls.

I’m wearin’ out the Kleenex box on my desk. LOL I’ve had to step outside a few times and the corn pollen is definitely in play.

It does feel good. We even turned the AC off and my feet are cold. AND, I’m not sweating. LOL!

You got a good bit of rain. It should have settled that nasty pollen a bit. Better buy lots of kleenex!

Good evening, radu...is it still gently raining? Nothing here...and now, at 7:30 the sun is coming out.

How long until the corn is ready? Has it had enough rain the last few days?

Allowed myself to just sit and read a whole book this morning...it was nice. Homework and laundry just started.

Must be really nice and cool of your feet are cold with no AC going.
It’s cool here tonight but very muggy. The ACs are on but the compressors aren’t coming on often. They’re primarily just blowing air.

The plants are going crazy spewing pollen after all this rain. I stepped outside again a few minutes ago and my nose instantly plugged up.
Kleenex is on the list for the store run tomorrow. LOL

I met him at a Vietnam veterans/civilian VN workers conference sponsored by the Radix Foundation in Boston in 2004. He was known as “The gentle giant”.

He was written up in a front page news article in either the Phil. Inquirer or Bulletin when he was originally given the MOH. He was just a kid back then but what a man he turned out to be in the heat of battle.

RIP - Dolby.

Hey there, Kathy.

The rain appears to be over for now. There was rain on the radar earlier but it’s all gone now. We have a day or two ahead and the sun is going to make the corn (and grass) go nuts. Hubby isn’t happy about the grass part. LOL

The corn won’t be ready for harvest until fall. It’s just started putting out tassels to pollinate and in a short time, the ears will appear.
Everything got a nice dose of rain over the past few days .... 4.27 inches. It all looks so fresh and happy now.

It sounds like you had a very good day. But alas, all good things must come to an end. Homework and laundry ... :-(

Making my eyes water just to think about all that pollen! I’m coughing probably from all the crud that blew in with the cold front. There was lots of dust in the air most of the day, and heaven knows what else.

Dust is plenty enough to make one gasp and wheeze. We had a lot in the air here until the rain finally moved in. Now we have pollen galore. Can’t win fer losin’. LOL
Buy stock in Kleenex. We’ll make ya rich!

I wish I had bought their stock ages ago! LOL! *coffcoff*

It’s now 65 degrees. Doesn’t that sound awesome?

I wish I’d bought their stock years ago too. That and cat litter. LOL

your 65 degrees does sound nice. We aren’t much warmer at 70 but it’s a wet cool. There’s been a little patchy fog already tonight.

It is nice. Of course, I haven’t been outside to sample it firsthand, but 65 is just nice.

I love fog! It makes things so quiet.

I thought you would have gone out to enjoy it for a little bit at least. Still too much dust in the air?

I like fog because it adds a little mystery to the surroundings.

Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))

Was it another crowded day at the lake yesterday? Did you let Gizmo drag you through the shrubbery again? LOL

Not too crowded. We did have a line of storms swoop down here from Kansas. Luckily It veered off to the East. We did get some outflow winds from it though.

Gizmo decided he wanted to walk through a bush out at the lake yesterday.((LOL))It was hard to keep up with him. We had a great time though.

I saw the line of storms when they were in KS but it looked like they’d miss your area. Glad that was the case.
We had a good amount of rain and a few thunder storms here but nothing severe. It looks like things will be nice for the majority of us the next day or two at least.

Gizmo is a little rascal, isn’t he? Keeps you on your toes! :-)
